While we have made progress, the pace of development has however been slow. The Abonnema community continues to suffer from lack of adequate infrastructure development; schools and hospitals are ill equipped and under funded, there is lack of adequate potable water, with an economy that is over reliant on government subsidy.

Our main source of livelihood; fishing and farming are challenged by environmental pollution. Our people and our economy are in need of stimulation and empowerment, Abonnema Foundation as the agent for the social and economic transformation of our community is open to mutual partnership with aide agencies that want to inject needed assistance into an enterprising community.

Abonnema Foundation is the holding body through which such partnership can be monitored for efficiency and effectiveness.
